Inspection Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY HAND-HELD TESTER 
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the hand-held tester main SW ON.
    3. Select the item "TRUNK / BDOR OPEN" in the ACTIVE TEST, and operate the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

      OK: 

      Drive the Luggage door lock motor / ON or OFF 

      OK: REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY 

      NG: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSY 
    1. Remove the luggage compartment door lock assy.
    2. Inspect the door lock motor operation.
      1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the negative (-) lead to the body ground, and then check that the motor is moving.

      Standard: Open 

      NG: REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSY 

      OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Disconnect the L5 luggage door lock and B6 driver side J/B (body ECU) connectors.
    2. Check the continuity of the wire harness between the luggage door lock and driver side J/B (body ECU).

      Standard:

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 

      OK: REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY
