Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY 
    1. Check that the motor rotates smoothly when the battery is connected to the connector terminal.

      Standard:

      NG: REPLACE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  ) 

      OK: Go to next step. 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU & SWITCH ASSY - POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSY) 
    1. Disconnect M7 ECU and P16, P17, P19 and P20 motor connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard:

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

      OK: REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU & SWITCH ASSY (See  OVERHAUL  )
