Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSY 
    1. Check driver seat belt warning operation.
      1. Remove the combination meter assy with connectors still connected.
      2. Ground the terminal C7-5 of combination meter assy connector.
      3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
      4. Check that the seat belt warning light blinks.

        OK: Warning light blinks.

    NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH 
    1. Check resistance.

      1. Check resistance between terminals 1 and 4 of front seat inner belt assy LH.

        Standard resistance:

    NG: REPLACE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (BETWEEN COMBINATION METER ASSY AND FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH) 

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSY LH AND BODY GROUND) 

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSY
