      OK: Go to step   4

NG: REPLACE HEAD LIGHT UNIT (LEVELING MOTOR)

  3. CHECK HEADLAMP LEVELING ECU ASSY
    1. Check signal waveform.
      1. RH:

        Using an oscilloscope, check signal waveform between terminal H14-16 (RH1), H14- 15 (RH2), H14-4 (RH3), H14-13 (RH4) and body ground.

      2. LH:

Using an oscilloscope, check signal waveform between terminal H14-3 (LH1), H14-2 (LH2), H14-5 (LH3), H14-14 (LH4) and identifying body ground.

        Standard: Signal waveform 2

      OK: Go to step   6

      NG: Go to Next Step

  4. CHECK HEADLAMP LEVELING ECU ASSY
    1. Measure voltage between terminal H14-10 (HDLP) and H14-12 (GND) of headlamp leveling ECU assy.

      Standard: Below 1.5 V

      OK: Go to step   7

      NG: Go to Next Step

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BETWEEN MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY COMPUTER AND HEADLAMP LEVELING ECU ASSY)
    1. Check the continuity between terminal H14-10 (HDLP) of headlamp leveling ECU assy and multiplex network body computer.

      Standard: There is continuity.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSY

  6. CHECK HEAD LIGHT UNIT (Damage)
    1. Inspect headlamp leveling motor resistance.
      1. Check that there is continuity between terminal 2 and 5.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

      OK: REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT (DAMAGE)

  7. CHECK HEADLAMP LEVELING ECU ASSY (SHR TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
    1. Measure voltage between terminal H14-23 (SHR) and H14-19 (SGR) of headlamp leveling ECU assy.

      Standard: 2.5 V

OK: CHECK AND REPLACE HEADLAMP LEVELING ECU ASSY

      NG: Go to Next Step

  8. INSPECT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSY REAR RH
    1. Connect 3 batteries (1.5 V) in series.
    2. Connect the battery positive terminal to terminal SHB, and the negative one to terminal SHG to apply the voltage of 4.5 V between terminals SHB and SHG.
    3. While slowly moving the link up and down with the voltage being applied, check the voltage between terminals SHRR and SHG.
