Inspection Procedure

- PERFORM ACTUATOR CHECK
- Set to actuator check mode (see PRE-CHECK ).
- Press the DEF switch and change to step operation.
- Check the air flow temperature by hand.
NG: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )
OK: Go to next step.
- INSPECT AIRMIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSY
- Remove the air mix damper servo sub-assy.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 and negative (-) lead to terminal 5, then check that the lever turns to "COOL" side smoothly.
- Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 and negative (-) lead to terminal 4, then check that the lever turns to "HOT" side smoothly.
NG: REPLACE AIRMIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSY
OK: Go to next step.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(BETWEEN AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR AND HEATER CONTROL HOUSING SUB-ASSY)
- Remove A/C amplifier with connectors still connected.
- Measure voltage between terminal AMDH of A/C amplifier and body ground when temperature control switch is operated, as shown in the chart.
