Inspection Procedure

PERFORM ACTUATOR CHECK
1. Set to actuator check mode (see PRE-CHECK ).
2. Press the DEF switch and change to step operation.
3. Check the air flow temperature by hand.

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

NG: Go to next step.
INSPECT AIRMIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSY
1. Remove the air mix damper servo sub-assy.
2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 4 and negative (-) lead to terminal 5, then check that the lever turns to "COOL" side smoothly.
3. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 5 and negative (-) lead to terminal 4, then check that the lever turns to "HOT" side smoothly.

NG: REPLACE AIRMIX DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSY

OK: Go to next step.
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(BETWEEN AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR AND HEATER CONTROL HOUSING SUB-ASSY)
1. Remove A/C amplifier with connectors still connected.
2. Measure voltage between terminal AMPH of A/C amplifier and body ground when air mix switch is operated, as shown in the chart.

  HINT: When you out voltage measurement, please measure, while a servomotor operates.
3. Measure voltage between terminal AMPC of A/C amplifier and body ground when air mix switch is operated, as shown in the chart.
