Inspection Procedure

PERFORM ACTUATOR CHECK
1. Set to actuator check mode (See PRE-CHECK ).
2. Press the blower switch and change to step operation.
3. Check the air flow level by hand.

OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE (SEE PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE )

NG: Go to next step.
INSPECT BLOWER W/FAN MOTOR SUB-ASSY
1. Remove blower motor.
2. Connect positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and negative (-) lead to terminal 1.
  Standard: Blower motor operates smoothly.

NG: REPLACE BLOWER W/FAN MOTOR SUB-ASSY

OK: Go to next step.
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(BETWEEN BLOWER MOTOR AND BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: Go to next step.
CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR(BETWEEN BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL AND BODY GROUND)
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: Go to next step.
INSPECT HEATER CONTROL HOUSING SUB-ASSY(BLW)
1. Remove A/C amplifier with connector.
2. Ignition switch ON.
3. Blower switch ON.
4. Measure waveform between terminals BLW of A/C amplifier and body ground.

  Blower level changes waveform

OK: Go to next step.

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK: REPLACE BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL
