Inspection Procedure

CHECK STOP LAMP
1. Check that the stop lamp lights up when brake pedal is depressed and turns OFF when the brake pedal is released.
NG: Go to step 2

OK: Go to next step.
INSPECT ABSORBER CONTROL ECU
1. Remove the absorber control ECU with connectors still connected.
2. Measure voltage between terminal A22 - 2 (STP) and A22 - 14 (GND) of absorber control ECU when stop lamp switch assy switch is ON and OFF.

  OK:

- NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
- OK: CHECK AND REPLACE ABSORBER CONTROL ECU (See ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE )
INSPECT STOP LAMP SWITCH ASSY
1. Disconnect the stop lamp switch assy connector.
2. Measure the continuity between each terminal of the stop lamp switch assy.

  OK:

- NG: REPLACE STOP LAMP SWITCH ASSY
- OK: GO TO NEXT STEP.
