Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT SOURCE VOLTAGE 
    1. Check the battery positive voltage.

      OK: 

      Voltage: 10 - 14 V 

    • NG: REPLACE BATTERY 
    • OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  2. INSPECT FUSE (FAN RELAY) 
    1. Remove the FAN RLY fuse from the driver side J/B.

    2. Check continuity of FAN RELAY fuse.

      OK: 

      Continuity 

    • NG: INSPECT FOR SHORT CIRCUIT IN ALL HARNESSES AND COMPONENTS CONNECTED TO FAN RELAY FUSE 
    • OK: GO TO NEXT STEP. 
  3. INSPECT ABSORBER CONTROL ECU 
    1. Remove the absorber control ECU with connectors still connected.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON, measure voltage between terminals A22 - 1 (+B) and A22 - 14 (GND) of the absorber control ECU connector.

      OK: 

      Voltage: 10 - 14 V 

  4. CHECK HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (ABSORBER CONTROL ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the absorber control ECU connectors.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Measure resistance between terminal A22 - 14 (GND) and body ground.

      OK: 

      Continuity
