Cool Air By-Pass Damper Control Servomotor: Inspection

  1. Driver side: REMOVE COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR 
    1. Remove the No. 1 under cover.
    2. Remove the 2 air ducts.
    3. Disconnect the connector.
    4. Disconnect the control rod.
    5. Remove the 3 screws and servomotor.

  2. Passenger side: REMOVE COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR 
    1. Remove the finish panel assembly (See INSTRUMENT PANEL ).
    2. Remove the blower unit (See REMOVAL ).
    3. Disconnect the connector.
    4. Remove the 3 screws and servomotor.

  3. Driver side: INSPECT COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR CIRCUIT (See  COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR CIRCUIT (DRIVER SIDE)  ). 
  4. Driver side: INSPECT COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT (See  COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT (DRIVER SIDE)  ). 
  5. Passenger side: INSPECT COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR CIRCUIT (See  COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR CIRCUIT (DRIVER SIDE)  ). 
  6. Passenger side: INSPECT COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT (See  COOL AIR BY-PASS DAMPER POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT (PASSENGER SIDE)  ). 
  7. INSTALL AIR BYPASS DAMPER CONTROL SERVOMOTOR
