Compressor And Magnetic Clutch: Removal

RUN ENGINE AT IDLE SPEED WITH A/C ON FOR APPROX. 10 MINUTES
STOP ENGINE
DISCONNECT NEGATIVE (-) TERMINAL CABLE FROM BATTERY
DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
REMOVE DRIVE BELT (See REMOVAL )
DISCONNECT DISCHARGE AND SUCTION HOSES
Remove the bolt, nut and disconnect the both hoses.

NOTE: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.

REMOVE GENERATOR
1. Disconnect the generator connector.
2. Remove the nut, and disconnect the generator wire.
3. Disconnect the wire harness from the clamp.
4. Remove the pivot bolt, adjusting lock bolt and generator.

REMOVE COMPRESSOR
1. Disconnect the connector.
2. Disconnect the wire harness clamp.
3. Remove the 2 bolts, nut and drive belt adjusting bar bracket.

4. Remove the 3 bolts and compressor.
