Inspection Procedure

- Check operation of stop light.
CHECK:
Check that stop light lights up when brake pedal is depressed and turns off when brake pedal is released.
- NG: Repair STOP LIGHT CIRCUIT .
- OK: Go to next step.
- Check voltage between terminal STP of ABS actuator and body ground.
Preparation:
Disconnect ABS actuator connector.
CHECK:
Measure the voltage between terminal STP (16) of ABS actuator harness side connector and body ground when brake pedal is depressed.
OK:
Voltage: 8 - 14 V .
- OK: Check and replace ABS actuator assembly.
- NG: Go to next step.
- Check for open circuit in harness and connector between ABS actuator and stop light switch. See

- NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
- OK: Go to next step.
