Inspection Procedure

  1. Check  PARKING BRAKE SWITCH CIRCUIT  . 
    1. NG: Repair or replace parking brake switch circuit. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  2. Check  BRAKE FLUID LEVEL WARNING SWITCH CIRCUIT  . 
    1. NG: Repair or replace brake fluid level warning switch circuit. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  3. Is DTC output ? 
    1. YES: Repair circuit indicated by the output code. 
    2. No: Go to next step. 
  4. Check BRAKE warning light. 

    See COMBINATION METER TROUBLESHOOTING .

    1. NG: Repair or replace bulb or combination meter. 
    2. OK: Go to next step. 
  5. Check for open or short circuit in harness and connector between combination meter and ECU. See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  . 
    1. NG: Repair or replace harness or connector. 
    2. OK:  Check and replace ABS actuator assembly.
