Sliding Roof Does Not Move By Sliding Roof Control Switch: Wiring Diagram

  1. Read value of hand-held tester  .
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Enter DATA LIST hand-held tester.

      Sliding Roof ECU

    1. OK: Go to next step.
    2. NG: Go to step  4.
  2. Perform active test by hand-held tester  .
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Enter into ACTIVE TEST function of hand-held tester.

    1. OK: Go to next step.
    2. NG: Go to step  6.
  3. Read value of hand-held tester  .
    1. Connect the hand-held tester to the DLC3.
    2. Enter DATA LIST hand-held tester.

    1. OK: Replace sliding roof drive gear sub-assy
    2. NG: Go to next step.
  4. Check wire harness  .
    1. Disconnect the connector from the sliding roof drive gear assembly and inspect the connector on the wire harness.

    2. Inspect the continuity of wire harness between the sliding roof drive gear assembly and sliding roof switch.

    1. OK: Go to next step.
    2. NG: Repair or replace wire harness.
  5. Inspect sliding roof motor switch  .
    1. Inspect slide roof motor switch continuity.

    1. OK: Replace sliding roof drive gear sub-assy.
    2. NG: Replace sliding roof motor switch.
  6. Check the movement of the sliding roof  .
    1. Remove the sliding roof drive gear, then check that the sliding roof can be moved by the manual operation.
    1. OK: Replace sliding roof drive gear sub-assy.
    2. NG: Repair or replace sliding roof O/H.
