Inspection Procedure

NOTE: Start the inspection from step  1 in case of using the TOYOTA hand-held tester and start from step  2 in case of not using the TOYOTA hand-held tester.
  1. Read Value Of Toyota Hand-Held Tester (Deceleration Sensor Output Value) 
    1. Select the DATALIST mode on the TOYOTA hand-held tester.
    2. Check that the deceleration value of the deceleration sensor displayed by the TOYOTA hand-held tester is changing when tilting the vehicle.
      1. OK: Deceleration Value Must Be Changing. 
    1. OK: Go To Step   3 
    2. NG: Go To Next Step  .
  2. Check Wire Harness And Connector (Deceleration Sensor - Skid Control ECU)  See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS )
    1. OK: Go To Next Step  .
    2. NG: Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector 
  3. Inspect Deceleration Sensor (See  PRE-CHECK  ) 
    1. OK: Check And Replace Skid Control ECU Assy. 
    2. NG: Replace Deceleration Sensor
