Inspection Procedure

  1. Inspect Fuse (ABS2 Of FL Block)

    1. Remove ABS2 fuse from the FL BLOCK.
    2. Check continuity of ABS2 fuse.
      1. OK: Continuity 
    1. OK: Go To Next Step  .
    2. NG: Replace Fuses 
  2. Inspect ABS Motor Relay 
    1. Check continuity between each terminal of ABS motor relay.

      OK:  See specifications in Fig 3.

    2. Apply battery positive voltage between terminals 1 and 2.
    3. Check continuity between terminals 3 and 5 of ABS motor relay.

      OK:  See specifications in Fig 4.

    1. OK: Go To Next Step  .
    2. NG: Replace ABS Motor Relay 
  3. Inspect Brake Actuator Assy.

    1. Disconnect the connector from the brake actuator.
    2. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to BM (1) terminal and negative (-) lead to GND (2) and MR (11) terminal of the brake actuator, check that the pump motor is operated.
      1. OK: The Running Sound Of The Pump Motor Should Be Heard. 
    1. OK: Go To Next Step  .
    2. NG: Replace Brake Actuator Assy. 
  4. Check Wire Harness And Connector (Brake Actuator - Skid Control ECU).  See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS .
    1. OK: Check And Replace Skid Control ECU Assy. 
    2. NG: Repair Or Replace Harness Or Connector
