Condenser Fan Removal

    NOTE: At the time of installation, evacuate air from refrigeration system and charge system with refrigerant and inspect for leakage of refrigerant Specified amount: 500 7 plus or minus; 50 g (17.64 7 plus or minus; 1.76 oz.)  .
  1. Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system  .
  2. NOTE: It is not necessary to drain out all coolant.
  3. Drain engine coolant from radiator  .
  4. Remove brackets  :
    1. Remove the water hose from fan shroud.
    2. Remove the 5 bolts and 2 brackets.

  5. Remove suction and discharge hoses from compressor  :
      NOTE: At the time of installation, lubricate 2 new "O" rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.

    1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the both hoses.

      Torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) 

    2. NOTE: At the time of installation, lubricate 2 new "O" rings with compressor oil and install them to the tubes.
    3. Loosen the 2 nuts and remove the suction hose from suction tube and Discharge hose from discharge tube.

      Torque

      1. Suction hose 32 N.m (330 kgf.cm, 24 ft.lbf)  .
      2. Discharge hose 22 N.m (225 kgf.cm, 16 ft.lbf)  .
  6. Disconnect radiator hoses from radiator and condenser module  :
    1. Using pliers, grip the claw of the hose clip and slide the clip along the hose.

    2. Disconnect the radiator hoses.
  7. Remove condenser fan with fan shroud  :
    1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts.
    3. Pull up the condenser fan with fan shroud until the it is removed from the radiator and condenser module.

    4. Pull it downward to remove it.
