HV Battery Installation

  1. Install HV battery  .
    1. Set the HV battery to the body.
    2. WARNING: Since alkaline electrolyte may be on the hose end, carry out the operation with considerable care.
    3. Connect the battery hose to the body.
  2. Install battery bracket  .
    1. Install the RH and LH battery bracket with the 13 bolts and nut.

      Torque: 18 N.m (185 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)  .

    2. Install and tighten the 5 bolts for HV battery.

      Torque: 18 N.m (185 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)  .

  3. Install high tension cable  :
    1. Install the earth terminal.
    2. Install the high tension cable with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.0 N.m (50 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)  .

    3. NOTE: When installing a cover, never fail to pass the interlock button.

    4. Install the battery carrier catch bracket with the 3 nuts.

      Torque: 8.0 N.m (80 kgf.cm, 71 in.lbf)  .

  4. Install duct  . See  25.
  5. Connect connector  :
    1. Connect the 2 connectors to the battery ECU.
    2. Connect the connector to the SMR,
    3. Connect the connector to the service plug assembly.
  6. Install REAR SEAT .
  7. Install LUGGAGE TRIM .
  8. Install service plug  . See PRECAUTION .
