Problem Symptoms Table

If a normal code is displayed during the DTC check but the problem still occurs, check the circuits for each problem symptom in the order given in PROBLEM SYMPTOMS  and proceed to the relevant troubleshooting procedure.

PROBLEM SYMPTOMS

Symptom/Suspect Area See
At The Time Of Idling, Steering Control Force Is Great (1)
(1) Check The DTC Reconfirming That The Normal Code Is Output  b Or  c
(2) Power Source Circuit DTC C1552/52: PIG POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT 
(3) Brake ECU ANTI-LOCK
(4) Power Steering Gear Assembly With Motor ELECTRIC POWER STEERING GEAR
Even If The Vehicle Speed Is Increased, Appropriate Steering Resistance Cannot Be Felt (2)
(1) Check The DTC Reconfirming That The Normal Code Is Output  b Or  c
(2) Brake ECU ANTI-LOCK
(3) Power Steering Gear Assembly With Motor ELECTRIC POWER STEERING GEAR
PS Warning Light Abnormal
PS Warning Light Circuit DTC C1556/56: P/S WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT 
EMPS ECU .....
DTC Check Cannot Be Done (3)
PS Warning Light Circuit DTC C1556/56: P/S WARNING LIGHT CIRCUIT 
Tc Terminal Circuit Tc TERMINAL CIRCUIT 
Speed Sensor Signal Check Cannot Be Done
Ts Terminal Circuit Ts TERMINAL CIRCUIT 
EMPS ECU .....
Brake ECU ANTI-LOCK
(1) Only when following steps 1 to 4 are all normal and the problem is still occurring, replace the EMPS ECU.
(2) Only when following steps 1 to 3 are all normal and the problem is still occurring, replace the EMPS ECU.
(3) Only when following steps 1 and 2 are all normal and the problem is still occurring, replace the EMPS ECU.
