Inspection Procedure

  1. Clear DTC  . See  d Or  e .
  2. Recheck EMPS ECU Malfunction  .

    PREPARATION:  Turn the ignition switch ON.

    CHECK:  Turn the steering wheel repeatedly to the right and left and check the DTC. See  b Or  c .

    OK: DTC is not output  .

    1. NG:  Replace EMPS ECU.
    2. OK:  Check multi-information display circuit. See STEP 1 - DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM MODE (W/O NAVIGATION) Or STEP 2 - DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM MODE (W/NAVIGATION) .
