Inspection Procedure

  1. Is DTC of ECM being output  ? See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
    1. Yes  : Check applicable DTC. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
    2. NO:  Go to  2.
  2. Check for open and short in wire harness between GO terminal of HV ECU and GO terminal of ECM  . See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION .
    1. NG:  Repair or replace wire harness.
    2. OK: Go to   3 . 
  3. Check resistance of crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor  . See CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR .
    1. NG:  Replace the crankshaft position sensor or camshaft position sensor.
    2. OK:  Check and replace ECM. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART .
