Inspection Procedure

- Check DTC of translate ECU.

STEP c - In Case Of Not Using Hand-held Tester, Check The DTC Of Translate ECU .
- If Output NG code, Repair ABS and VSC control system according to the code output.
- If malfunction indicator light remains ON, Check if ECU is connected to malfunction indicator light.
- Check translate ECU communication.
Reference: inspection using oscilloscope.
Preparation:
- Remove the translate ECU.
- Connect the oscilloscope to the terminal VSC+ (4) and GND (14) of the translate ECU harness side connector.
Check: Start the engine, and check the signal waveform.
OK: Check and replace ABS & BA & TRAC & VSC ECU.
If NG , go to step 3.
- Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between each of terminals VSC+ and VSC- of translate ECU and ABS & BA & TRAC & VSC ECU. See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
NG: Repair or replace harness or connector.
OK: Check and replace ABS & BA & TRAC & VSC ECU.
