Removal (Camry Solara)

  1. Remove "V" bank cover if necessary to access ignition coils mounted on top of valve cover. See Figure. Disconnect electrical connector at ignition coil. To disconnect spark plug wire at ignition coil, use screwdriver to lift upward on lock claw. See Figure.
  2. Disconnect holder at ignition coil. Pull upward on grommet to disconnect spark plug wire from ignition coil. See Figure. DO NOT pull on spark plug wire. Remove bolt and ignition coil.
