Removal (4Runner)

  1. Drain cooling system. Remove air cleaner hose located between air cleaner and throttle body.
  2. Disconnect control cable, air hoses, coolant hoses and electrical connectors at throttle body. Remove bolts/nuts, throttle body and gasket. Manufacturer does not list servicing procedure for accelerator pedal position sensor, throttle control motor and Throttle Position (TP) sensor. If any of these components are defective, throttle body must be replace as a complete assembly.
