Intake Air Control Valve: Installation

To install No. 2 intake air control valve on end of air intake chamber, reverse removal procedure using NEW gasket. Apply Seal Packing (08826-00080) or equivalent at designated areas and a light coat of engine oil at rubber area on No. 2 intake air control valve before installing. See Fig 3. Tighten No. 2 intake air control valve nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
To install No. 1 intake air control valve on throttle bodies, reverse removal procedure using NEW gaskets and "O" rings. Tighten throttle body-to-No. 1 intake air control valve bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Ensure proper procedure is followed when installing throttle bodies. See THROTTLE BODY under FUEL SYSTEMS.

To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gasket. Apply Seal Packing (08826-00080) or equivalent at designated areas and a light coat of engine oil at rubber area on intake air control valve before installing. See Figure. Tighten intake air control valve nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
