Inspection Procedure

NOTE: In case of using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start from step 2.

Check the back door power window motor using TOYOTA hand-held tester.
PREPARATION : connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC3.

CHECK : that the back door power window motor can operate in an ACTIVE TEST.
1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
2. NG : Go to next step.
Check back door power window motor. See BACK DOOR POWER WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT .
1. NG: Replace the back door power window motor.
2. OK: Go to next step.
Check wire harness and connector between back door power window motor and back door ECU. . See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS .
1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
2. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
