Inspection Procedure

NOTE: In case of using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start the inspection from step 1 and in case of not using the TOYOTA hand-held tester, start from step 2.

Check the back door lock motor using TOYOTA hand-held tester.
PREPARATION : Connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC3.

CHECK : that the back door lock motor can operate in an ACTIVE TEST.
1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
2. NG: Go to next step.
Check back door lock motor . See BACK DOOR LOCK MOTOR CIRCUIT .
1. NG : Replace the back door lock motor.
2. OK : Go to next step.
Check wire harness and connector between back door lock motor and Back door ECU . See HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT ECU CONTROLLED SYSTEMS .
1. NG: Repair or replace wire harness or connector.
2. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown on problem symptoms table. See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS .
