Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
Start the inspection from step 1 in case of using the TOYOTA hand-held tester and start from step 2 in case of not using the TOYOTA hand-held tester.
- Check Operation Of The VSC Warning Light.
Preparation :
- Connect the TOYOTA hand-held tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch ON and push the TOYOTA hand-held tester main switch ON.
- Select the ACTIVE TEST mode on the TOYOTA hand-held tester.
Check : That "ON" and "OFF" of the VSC TRAC warning light can be shown on the combination meter with the TOYOTA hand-held tester.
- OK : Check and replace skid control ECU.
- NG : Go to next step.
NOTE: When replacing the ECU, perform the zero point calibration. See step 6 under PRE-CHECK. - Is DTC Output?
- YES : Repair circuit indicated by the output code.
- NO : Go to step 3.
- Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between skid control ECU and VSC TRAC warning light.
- NG : Repair or replace harness or connector.
- OK : Go to next step. See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
- Check VSC TRAC Warning Light.

- NG : Repair bulb or LOCATION .
- OK : Check and replace skid control ECU.
NOTE: When replacing the ECU, perform the zero point calibration (See step 6 under PRE-CHECK).
