Inspection Procedure

- Check For Short Circuit In Harness And Connector Between Terminals EXI And EXI2 Of Skid Control ECU And EXI1 Of Translate ECU. See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE

- NG : Repair or replace harness or connector.
- OK : Go to step 6.
- Check Operation Of The Center Differential Lock Indicator Light.
Preparation :
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Shift the transfer shift lever to the "L" position.
Check : That the center differential lock indicator light is ON when the transmission shift lever is in L position and OFF when it is in any other position.
When the center differential cannot be shifted to LOCK smoothly, the center differential lock indicator light will blink.
- OK : Go to step 5.
- NG : Go to next step.
- Check Center Differential Lock Indicator Light.

- NG : Repair bulb or combination meter assembly.
- OK : Go to step 4.
- Check That The 4WD ECU Connectors Are Securely Connected To The 4WD ECU.
- NO : Connect the connector to the 4WD ECU.
- YES : Go to step 5.
- Check For Open And Short Circuit In Harness And Connector Between Terminals EXI And EXI2 Of Skid Control ECU And EXI1 Of Translate ECU. See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE

- NG : Repair or replace harness or connector.
- OK : Go to step 6.
- Replace The Translate ECU And Check Whether Or Not The Trouble Occurs Again.
- YES : Check and replace skid control ECU.
- NO : Check and replace translate ECU.
NOTE: When replacing the ECU, perform the zero point calibration. See step 6 under PRE-CHECK.
