Inspection Procedure

  1. Check Active Brake Booster Solenoid. 

    PREPARATION  : disconnect the connector from brake booster.

    Check  : Resistance between terminals 3 and 4 of brake booster. See Fig 1.

    OK  : Resistance: 1.1-1.7 ohms

    1. NG  : Replace brake booster.
    2. OK  : Go to step  2.
  2. Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between skid control ECU and brake booster. See HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE .
    1. NG  : Repair or replace harness or connector.
    2. NOTE: When replacing the ECU, perform the zero point calibration. See step  6 under PRE-CHECK.
    3. OK  : Check and replace skid control ECU.
