Inspection Procedure

  1. Check Translate ECU Communication. 

    Reference  : inspection using oscilloscope.

    Preparation  :

    1. Remove the translate ECU.
    2. Connect the oscilloscope to the terminal VSC+ (4) and GND (14) of the translate ECU harness side connector.

    Check  : Start the engine, and check the signal waveform.

    1. OK  : Check and replace translate ECU.
    2. NG  : Go to step  2.
  2. Check for open and short circuit in harness and connector between each of terminals VSC+ and VSC- of translate ECU and skid control ECU. See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  . 
    1. NG  : Repair or replace harness or connector.
      2. NOTE: When replacing the ECU, perform the zero point calibration. See step  6 under PRE-CHECK.
    2. OK  : Check and replace skid control ECU.
