Front Disc Brake Pads

NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the brake tube or drain brake fluid if only replacing brake pads.
NOTE: When replacing worn pads, the anti-squeal shims must be replaced together with the pads.

For procedure, see Fig 1. For component view, see Fig 2. To check pad thickness, see DISC BRAKE SPECIFICATIONS . To check disc thickness, see FRONT BRAKE DISC . To check disc runout, see DISC RUNOUT  under ADJUSTMENTS. If bleeder screws were loosened, bleed system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
