Removal & Installation

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect and shield negative battery cable. Wait at least 90 seconds. Remove front seat outer belt anchor cap, anchor nut and seat belt anchor. See Figure.
- Remove seat track covers and 4 seat track bolts. From under seat, disconnect side air bag module and power seat connectors, then remove left front seat. Remove seat position sensor bolt, disconnect harness connector and remove sensor.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check AIR BAG warning light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .
