Diagnostic Procedure

Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Reconnect negative battery cable. If AIR BAG warning light does not illuminate, replace air bag sensor assembly. If AIR BAG warning light illuminates, diagnose and repair instrument cluster.
