Water Pump: Removal

- Drain cooling system. Remove timing belt. See TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT - 4.3L article. Remove No. 2 idler pulley. Remove throttle body.
- Remove water intake housing assembly from water pump. Remove "O" ring from water by-pass pipe on intake housing. Remove by-pass hose from water intake housing. Remove 5 bolts and 2 nuts. Remove water pump and gasket.
