Fuel Suction With Pump & Gauge Tube Assembly: Removal

- Remove fuel tank assembly. See FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY .
- Protect tube joint and connector to prevent contamination. Clean dirt from fuel suction tube assembly before removing.
- Using special tool (09808-14020), loosen the retainer. A rib on retainer can be fitted into tip of special tool. See Fig 1.
- Remove retainer. Pull out the fuel suction tube assembly. Be careful not bend arm of sender gauge. Remove gasket from fuel tank.
- Pinch projections of retainer to remove lock claws and pull out fuel tank breather tube. See Fig 2.
- Remove fuel tank inlet hose from fuel tank.
