Circuit Description

Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor is a thermistor sensor which monitors water temperature. DTC P0115 is set when ECM detects an open or short in ECT sensor circuit for .5 second. DTC P0117 is set when ECM detects a short in ECT sensor circuit for .5 second. DTC P0118 is set when ECM detects an open in ECT sensor circuit for .5 second. Possible causes are:
