Diagnostic Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Toyota Camry and 2002 Toyota Camry. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
DTC 41 will set when body control ECU detects one of the following normally open switches closed:
- Key unlock warning.
- Luggage compartment door unlock detection.
- Door unlock detection.
- Any courtesy light switch.
Turn ignition on and retrieve DTCs after operating power door lock system. If DTC 41 is present, test applicable switch(es). If switch(es) tests okay, check and repair wiring harness of switch(es). See
POWER DOOR LOCKS
in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If wiring and switch(es) are okay, switch in another system may have set DTC. See appropriate ANTI-THEFT, INTERIOR LIGHTS and/or POWER WINDOW article. After repairs have been made, perform confirmation test. See
CONFIRMATION TEST under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
