Shock Absorber With Coil Spring: Removal

- Turn off ignition.
- Remove wheel.
- Place matchmarks on height control sensor link and bracket. Remove nut and disconnect sensor link from lower control arm. See Figure.
- Remove clip and nut. Using Special Tool (09610-20012), disconnect steering knuckle from upper control arm. See Figure. Support steering knuckle securely.
- Remove bolt and nut to disconnect shock absorber from shock absorber lower bracket.
- Loosen suspension support center nut. Do NOT remove. If disassembling shock absorber, it is not necessary to loosen nut. See Fig 1.
- Remove outside suspension support nuts and shock absorber with coil spring.
