Test No. 6: Wiper Blade Contacts Body When Wiper Switch Is In Hi Position; Or Wiper Blade Does Not Retract Or Retracts To Wrong Position When Wiper Switch Is Turned Off

  1. Check wiper arm adjustment and blade position. See WIPER ARMS  under ADJUSTMENTS. If wiper arm adjustment is okay, go to next step.
  2. Check wiper portion of wiper/washer switch. See WIPER/WASHER SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If wiper/washer switch is okay, go to next step.
  3. Check wiring harness and connectors between wiper/washer switch and front wiper motor. Also check power and ground circuits. See WIPER/WASHER in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article. After repairs have been made, perform confirmation test. See CONFIRMATION TEST .
