Headlight Dimmer Switch

NOTE: Headlight dimmer switch is an integral part of headlight control switch.
  1. To test headlight dimmer switch, turn ignition off. Disconnect 17-pin electrical harness connector from light control switch at bottom of upper steering column bracket. Note light control switch positions and electrical terminals. See Figure.
  2. Using a DVOM, check continuity between specified terminals of light control switch with headlight dimmer switch in each specified position. See HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH CONTINUITY  table. See Figure. Replace light control switch if defective. See LIGHT CONTROL SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
