Diagnostic Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus RX 300 and 2002 Lexus RX 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: When inserting the key that does not start the engine, DTC B2795 is stored in the memory.

Delete the DTC and insert all the presently available keys to check whether the engine starts or not. The results are OK if all the keys start the engine. If the results are OK, confirm whether or not customers have ever inserted the unregistered key or the immobilizer key (with transponder chip) of another vehicle in the ignition key cylinder and find out the cause of the detecting DTC. The results are not good if a specific key does not start the engine. If the results are not good, register the key that does not start the engine.
