Seat Heater Elements

- Disconnect seat back heater element from seat cushion heater element. Ensure seat cushion heater thermostat is less than 104° F (40° C). Using an ohmmeter, check that continuity exists between seat cushion heater connector terminals No. A1 and B2, and between A2 and B1. See Fig 1. Using a light or other heat source, heat seat cushion heater thermostat to 122° F (50° C), and check that continuity does not exist between seat cushion heater connector terminals No. A1 and B2, and between A2 and B1. If continuity is not as specified, replace seat cushion heater element.
- Check continuity between seat back heater element connector terminals. See Fig 2. If continuity does not exist, replace seat back heater element.
