Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus RX 300 and 2002 Lexus RX 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check the continuity of ECU-B, GAUGE and P FR DOOR fuses. If there is continuity, go to the next step. If there is not continuity, replace the failure fuse.
  2. Turn the ignition switch ON. Measure the voltage between terminals No. F15-5 (SIG) and F15-25 (GND) of the passenger door ECU. See CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . It is OK if the voltage is between 10-14 volts. Turn the ignition switch OFF. Disconnect the passenger door ECU connector. Measure voltage between terminals No. F15-14 (BDR), F15-18 (CPUB) and F15-25 (GND). If voltage is 10-14 volts, check the passenger door ECU. If the voltage is not as specified, go to the next step.
  3. Check the wire harness and connector between the passenger door ECU and ground. If the results are OK, check and repair the wire harness and connector between the passenger door ECU and battery. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.
