Inspection Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lexus RX 300 and 2002 Lexus RX 300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Check the door lock motor. See DOOR LOCK MOTOR (REAR LEFT)  and DOOR LOCK MOTOR (REAR RIGHT)  under COMPONENT TESTS. If the results are OK, go to the next step. If the results are not good, replace the door lock motor. See DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY (REAR)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Check the wire harness and connector between the door lock motor and appropriate rear door ECU. If the results are OK, check the appropriate rear door ECU. If the results are not good, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.
