Window Regulator (Rear Door): Removal

- Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL (REAR) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION under POWER DOOR LOCKS & LIFTGATE RELEASE article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
- Remove the rear door ECU. Disconnect the 2 connectors. Remove the wiring harness from the rear door ECU bracket. Remove the 2 screws and rear door ECU. See Fig 1.
- Remove the speaker by disconnecting the connector and removing the 3 screws.
- Remove the screw and inside handle, then disconnect the 2 cables.
- Remove the service hole cover by removing the 2 grommets.
- Remove the weatherstrip.
- Remove the division bar. Open the door glass until the bolts appear in the service hole. Remove the 2 door glass set nuts. Remove the door glass from the glass bracket and lower the door glass into the door panel. Position the door glass toward the front as much as possible. Remove the 2 bolts and screw. Pull the division bar forward. Rotate the division bar 90° and pull it upward.
- Remove the rear door quarter window glass. See Fig 2. Remove the quarter window weatherstrip from the glass.
- Pull the glass up out of the panel carefully.
- Remove the 4 bolts and window regulator.

Insert a shop rag inside the door panel to prevent scratching the glass.

WARNING:
If the link or door key lock and unlock switch is touched, the power window might start it's operating, causing unexpected injury to an operator. As the circuit of the key-linked up-and-down function of the power window is isolated, even if the connector of the power window master switch is disconnected the key-linked up-and-down function operates.
CAUTION:
When performing the service operation inside the front door on the driver's side, make sure to perform it with the battery terminal or connector of the power window motor disconnected.
