Window Regulator (Rear Door): Installation

- Install the window regulator with the 4 bolts. See Figure. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
- Put the rear door glass into the door panel.
- Install the quarter window weatherstrip to the glass. Install the rear door quarter window glass.
- Insert the division bar to the door panel, then rotate it 90°. Install the division bar. Install the 2 bolts and screw. Mount the door glass to the window regulator and install the 2 nuts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS table.
- Install the weatherstrip.
- Install the service hole cover to the door panel.
- Install the inside handle. Connect the 2 cables, then install the inside handle with the screw. Check that the door lock knob moves securely to the LOCK and UNLOCK positions when moving the door lock knob. When the knob doesn't move to the LOCK and UNLOCK stop positions, move the locking cable installation position back and forth to adjust it.
- Install the speaker with the 3 screws. Connect the connector.
- Install the rear door ECU with the 2 screws. Install the wiring harness to the rear door ECU bracket. Connect the 2 connectors.
- Install the door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL (REAR) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION under POWER DOOR LOCKS & LIFTGATE RELEASE article under DOOR LOCKS & ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
NOTE:
Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating parts of the window regulator. See Fig 1.
CAUTION:
Insert a shop rag inside the door panel to prevent scratching the door glass.
NOTE:
Position the door glass toward the front as much as possible.
CAUTION:
Do not damage the glass.
NOTE:
When installing the service hole cover, pull out the cables and connectors through the service hole cover.
