Automatic A/C-Heater System

  1. Disconnect A/C-heater control panel 26-pin electrical harness connector A15 and 16-pin electrical harness connector A16. Using jumper wires, connect battery positive voltage to A/C-heater control panel 26-pin connector A15 terminals No. 1 and 2. See Fig 1.
  2. Connect another jumper wire between battery negative voltage and A/C-heater control panel 26-pin connector A15 terminal No. 24. Connect a 1.4-watt test light between battery positive voltage and A/C-heater control panel 26-pin connector A15 terminal No. 18. See Fig 1.
  3. Turn rear window defogger switch on. Test light and rear window defogger indicator light should illuminate, then turn off after about 15 minutes. Replace A/C-heater control panel if operation is not as specified.
