Test No. 22: Hazard Warning Light Does Not Light Up (Turn Signals Are Normal)

  1. Check HAZ (15-amp) fuse in driver side junction block located under left side of instrument panel. See Figure. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is defective, repair short in wiring connected to fuse. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article. After repairs have been made, perform confirmation test. See CONFIRMATION TEST .
  2. Check wiring harness between hazard warning switch and turn signal flasher, between hazard warning switch and driver side junction block, and between driver side junction block and turn signals. Also check power and ground circuits. See EXTERIOR LIGHTS in SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS article. After repairs have been made, perform confirmation test. See CONFIRMATION TEST .
