Removal & Installation

- Disable air bag system and remove driver-side air bag. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Using a steering wheel puller, remove steering wheel.
- Using a flat-blade screwdriver with tape applied to tip, remove left speaker opening cover assembly by releasing clips. See Fig 1. Remove upper cluster finish panel with taped flat-blade screwdriver. See Fig 2. Remove lower cluster finish panel by releasing 7 clips with taped flat-blade screwdriver. See Fig 3.
- Remove retaining screws from right side of instrument cluster finish panel. Carefully move large one-piece instrument cluster finish panel away from dash and release clips. See Fig 4. Disconnect electrical connectors and A/C-heater ducts as necessary.
- Remove multi-display information center retaining screws. Pull multi-display information center out from instrument panel enough to disconnect wiring harness connectors. Remove multi-display information center. Remove instrument cluster retaining screws. Pull instrument cluster out from instrument panel enough to disconnect wiring harness connectors. Remove instrument cluster. To install, reverse removal procedure. Before installing steering wheel, center spiral cable. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
